Necessity is the Mother of Invention…And the Capacity for Risk
For this latest post, about which I’ve been ruminating for some time, the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is dead on. As hard as I might try, I’d never be able to explain to you in words the almost daily vicissitudes I encounter on my commute between home and Rimkieta.
They are images from my ‘only in Burkina’ moments that make me burst out laughing and pray that the photo’s subject’s guardian angel will protect him or her, and all of us who cross paths with such ‘characters.’ They are living proof of necessity being the mother of invention. Here there is no shortage of invention!
I’ll leave you with the images. I’m sorry about their low quality – clicking a mobile phone camera in motion can do better
P.D. Some images of animals might be upsetting…

BONUS: These images are not mine, I took them from internet. But I’m sure there are totally credible, especially the first one, because I’ve seen it for myself repeatedly, but never could take a picture of it!
