“When the Purpose Remains”, by Gemma Jimeno
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of participating, together with Tere Silla, Board Member of Jeanologia, an Institutional Patron of FAR, in ProposiTalks, an initiative promoted by Banco Sabadell’s Business Hub in collaboration with the Chair of Business Culture at the University of Valencia, to share how collaboration between the business sector and the third sector can generate social impact, create opportunities, and improve people’s lives.
As a result of that conversation, journalist Gemma Jimeno, from Economía 3, has written an article that I would like to share with you today. In it, she tells, in a warm, faithful and engaging way, the story of the origins of FAR in Rimkieta, led by our beloved “Uncle Pepe” (may he rest in peace), and the evolution of a project that, thanks to the commitment and trust of so many Friends of Rimkieta, has become a solid social project, focused on impact and managed with the rigor and professionalism of a business, in the service of the comprehensive development of Rimkieta.
